annie called me crying having just finished...
annie: omg... i cried so much… but it's so well written that you cannot help but fall in love with the characters and develop an attachment to their happiness even though you know from the beginning that you will only be disappointed
annie: this is the first book i have read where i literally vividly imagined every single thing and created the entire universe in my mind including the characters
annie: i have never been so attached to the characters of a book. like i loved pride and prejudice... but i had already seen the movie. i didn't really like jane eyre and i had already seen it. frankenstein sucked so even though i imagined it i didn't really care.
but this one...
annie: this is a new experience for me..
annie: its like the first time i watched gone with the wind.

annie: i don't even cry over people in movies. this is the only time i have ever felt some sort of connection to book characters on any level
annie: and the way he writes.... omg.
annie: seriously... the way he wrote made it that much more of an experience... I AM CHANGED.
